Shiloh Word Chapel
A complete digital ecosystem for a modern Nigerian ministry.

Business Context
Modern churches require digital infrastructure that serves their congregation beyond Sunday attendance. Online sermons, event management, giving, and community connection have become expected capabilities for growing ministries.
The Problem
The church had no organized digital presence and was missing opportunities to serve members digitally, reach new visitors through search, and accept online giving.
Approach
Built a ministry-focused platform covering all key digital touchpoints: sermon library, event calendar, online giving, staff directory, and community news.
Technical Architecture
Flutter mobile app backed by a Laravel PHP API and MySQL database. Firebase handles push notifications for announcements and sermon alerts. Paystack integration processes tithes and offerings with Nigerian payment method support.
Key Features Built
- Sermon archive with audio and video
- Online giving and tithe platform
- Event management and registration
- Staff and leadership directory
- Community news and announcements
- Prayer request submission
- Live stream integration
Challenges Solved
- Built an online giving system culturally appropriate for a Nigerian faith community
- Designed a sermon archive navigable by topic, speaker, and date
Outcome & Impact
Shiloh Word Chapel now serves its congregation digitally, extending ministry reach beyond physical attendance.
Lessons Learned
Ministry technology requires understanding the community it serves at a deep level. The digital platform must feel like an extension of the church, not a corporate product. Getting tone, language, and structure right matters as much as technical execution.
